After trick or treating we went to our church for Trunk or Treating.  Ellee had a blast. They had a bunch of cars all decked out with Halloween scariness. And they gave out a TON of candy!  They also had a DJ and Ellee had so much fun dancing with her Auntie to the music.  I caught her on video shortly before we left.  So funny and cute!!! : )

Side note: At the end of the video Ellee's hat fell off.  I thought it was so funny because she was acting all concerned that it had fallen off her head, when earlier all she wanted to do is take it off.  Silly girl!

Oh, and all that dancing must have really tired her out because she was fast asleep minutes after pulling out of the church parking lot.  She went to bed in her giraffe costume.  I was told, you should never wake a sleeping baby! : )



trick or treat!

Halloween was so much fun this year!  My Mom, Greg, Sarah and I took Ellee trick or treating.  She didn't know exactly what she was doing, but she had fun!  It was so fun to see all the different costumes!  The first 2 pieces of candy Ellee got she held onto the whole time.  And she even carried her candy basket around. I'm so excited for next year!  Here are a few photos from our trick or treating adventure:

Toutle 2010.

This was Ellee's second year (our fourth) at the Toutle for the annual Labor Day weekend "camping" trip.  Camping is in quotes because if you remember last year our version of camping was spending all day down at the river with Shayne's family and then staying the night in a hotel not far from the camp site. : ) 
We got there Friday and spent the evening around the campfire.  Saturday, we spent most of the day by the river.  Ellee loved playing in the sand.  One of Shayne's cousins has twin boys who are about a month younger than Ellee and they had so much fun playing together.  I floated the river with Shayne's Aunt and his cousins.  I tried to convince Shayne to float with us too but, he wasn't interested.  Even though the weather was a bit chilly the water wasn't really that cold.  Ellee had so much fun running around and sitting by the fire in her pink camping chair!  It was a good weekend!

Sunday, we drove to Oregon to go to Greg's family picnic.  We had a lot of fun chatting with his family and riding the zip line.  Ellee had fun running around with all the other kids!  Greg got some great photos on his camera so I will have to upload those later! : )

Ellee's first 4th!

We spent Ellee's first 4th of July with Grandma Katie and Grandpa Scott.  We went over to their neighbor's house for a BBQ. Despite it being really cold (When is it not on the 4th in WA???!!!)  we had a lot of fun!

Mother's Day.

I know this is late but, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

We started out Mother's Day by going to church with Shayne's parents at Chapel Hill. The worship was awesome and the sermon was really great. I love going to church..It always makes me feel so refreshed!

After church we went to one of my favorite restaurants, The Harbor Monsoon. Their food is always so yummy and Ellee even tried some rice. : )

Later we went over to my Mom and Greg's. We took Ellee over to the park that is near their house. She experienced going down the slide for the very first time (see video below!)

We finished out Mother's Day with a happy hour Starbuck's frapp and some pizza from the new pizza place called Blue Cannon. All in all it was a wonderful 1st Mother's Day! I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way!

Resurrection Sunday.

We started Ellee's first Easter by going to church.  We heard a wonderful sermon at Harbor Christian Center...It really made me reflect on the true meaning of Easter! 

It was Ellee's first experience going to church.  She did very well...stayed quiet for most of the sermon but, Shayne had to take her out in the hall towards the end.  I can't wait to take her back again!  I think we might try the nursery next time...I think she would love to interact with other kids!

After church we had both sets grandparents over for Easter dinner.  We had a yummy roast from the crockpot!  It was delicious.  My mom brought 2 kinds of quiche which were yummy!  Shayne's mom brought a yummy fruit salad, rolls and ANGEL FOOD CAKE WITH STRAWBERRIES AND WHIP CREAM (can you tell I LOVE that desert??!!) !!!!!!!

Ellee had so much fun coloring Easter eggs...It was her first experience with paints.  I think she liked the part where she got to be messy! I will post pictures of the finished eggs later...they are still drying. : )

Happy Valentine's Day!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Ellee spent the day with Grandmom and Grandpa. They had fun going to Aunty Sarah's basketball game. :) Shayne and I enjoyed a little shopping. We got some things for our house and for Ellee's room. It was a nice relaxing day!

Christmas Eve coffee date.

Miss Ellee and I had a coffee date with my good friend Jaime.  We met at Pony Club when we were in middle school.  She is living in Colorado now and was in town for the holidays.  The last time I saw her I was barely pregnant.  It was so good to see her and catch up!  And Miss Ellee loved her!
